Be Part of the Solution

Polar bears and people want the same thing – a planet that is healthy. We want a place where we can live successfully. Unfortunately, the sea ice that the bears depend upon for hunting, breeding and denning is melting.

However, Scientists say it’s not too late to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to save the polar bear’s sea ice habitat and make the planet a healthier place for people too – and you and your class can do your part by making small changes in your daily habitats.

The Challenge

Once you’ve registered, The Polar Bear Challenge is a 21-day long competition that gives your class the chance to reduce your energy consumption.

The Rewards

All participating schools will be part of a healthier planet and receive recognition on the Polar Bear Challenge website as well as a participation certificate suitable for framing.

Who can participate

We encourage any Public, Private and Charter School Classes in the state of Utah to participate in the Hogle's Zoo Polar Bear Challenge.
